Advertise on your page

The advertising is a key element to success and popularity. You must make a banner for your site. Find a graphic program (www.download.com, www.tucows.com or anywhere) which can edit GIF and JPG files. If you want to make an animated banner for your page you must use GIF editor and animator. GIF files have the possibility to reduce the colors used in the image. That makes some GIF file smaller than any JPG files. Your banner dimensions must be exactly 468x60 and the size (in KB) of the banner depends on you and the advertising company which you join. In the beginning join only in programs which will show your banner. Don't start with money-making advertising companies.

In the beginning join the LinkExchange program. The program's requirements are your banner to be maximum 10Kb, 468x60 and if is animated the animation to stop after 7 seconds. LinkExchange ratio is 2/1 (you show 2, they show 1 yours). Put the code of LinkExchange down on the page. The other starting program is Net-On. Your banner must be maximum 20Kb, 468x60, unlimited animation. Net-On ratio is 5/3 (you show 5, they show 3 yours). If you reach definite visitors per day you will take advantage and your ratio will be 5/4. Put the Net-Ad banner in the top of the page.

When you reach invariable traffic you can join the ValueClick program. Remove the Net-On banner from the top of your page and put the ValueClick code. You will get 12-24 cents when a visitor click on the banner.
